I've been considering a set of these for a while - I've noticed your current product photo is different to that of other websites, has this product been revised for 2006? Also is the product licensed to work in Cyprus?
The MT750 is the latest version of the product from Cobra, replacing the Cobra MT725 (PMR725VP).
PMR446 was implemented 30 April 2004 for Cyprus, so yes you can!

I have been advised that I can use this product in the USA on a family holiday, is this possible/legal?
In North America (including Canada) they use a different frequency for walkie talkie radios, so technically they cannot be used in the USA. PMR446 is licensed for use in Europe and other parts of the world.

Cobra MT750 Walkie Talkie Radio Value Pack
does this unit have a standard headphone jack ?
does this unit have a standard microphone input ?
thanks.
The MT750 is a single pin rather than the old twin type plug, however even though it is the same plug 2.5mm , the wiring (ear piece & mic ) is
apparently different , so standard 2.5mm accessory will work..
Is this radio compatable with MT725 Cobra radios in order to communicate with more than 2 radios?
Yes it is, they all use the PMR446 frequency which means that radios from any brand or manufacturer should work when tuned to the same channel / sub channel.
Hi - some other retailers are advertising these as having a single mic/speaker socket, rather than the pair on earlier Cobra radios, although it's not clear in your listing - are they compatible with the single-jack VOX motorcycle headsets you advertise?
Yes it has a single 2.5mm socket, however the socket does not have standard wiring, and requires the use of Cobra accessories.
As such, it will not work with the standard 2.5mm VOX headset, and requires a new headset that should be available in September.
how long will it take for these to be delivered from day of order?
This product is held in stock in good quantities. As long as the order is placed by about 3pm, we can ship that day and if citylink is chosen, delivery will be the following day.
What does the Dual Watch mean? i tried working a motorola walki talkie with this product but doesnt seem to work?
Dual Watch means that you can transmit and receive on one channel, and listen in on another channel. A typical application might be for door security staff on one channel for communication, with a dual watch to another channel on receive only for say the bar staff.
We've just bought these from you to use as a baby monitor when we go on holiday next week but it only seems to transmit sound if you talk closely into it - which our baby is not going to be able to do. It is set to the highest sensitivity level. We are not confident that it will pick up any sound. How can we increase the sensitivity?
We would recommending contacting us for support.
Where can I get an in-car charger for this product?
Unfortunately this is not a product that is currently available from Cobra.
I have resently perchased this set 4 use on a motorcycle.the head sets i have are a 2pin jack type one 3.5mm&2.5mm is their an adapter jack i can get 2 covert this type of jack plug 2 suit radioes&head sets i have ?
Unfortunately we do not had an adapter, however we do sell kits that work directly with these radios, do a search for NCOHM100 in the search box and it will display the kits that are compatible with this radio.
Do these radios work as baby monitors as well as the previous model (MT725) used to?
Yes they can be used as baby monitors.
Hi there. I asked about another product earlier but this one looks the same - is it an updated version?
This is the updated version, and is suitable for use as a baby monitor.
Is there a headset with boom mike which is compatible with this radio to allow hands free VOX operation.
At the moment this product is not available, however when and if Cobra release this product we will make it available to purchase on the web site.
can i communicate to the child when the device is in baby monitor mode? I'd like to be able to speak to my son when at a distance, but he's not able to reliably use a walkie talkie yet.
You could set the childs radio in VOX mode, which would allow two way transmission.
Can it be taken into the USA and used legally, we are going skiing
Unfortunately the 446 frequency is illegal for use in North America.
i am confused how much is the walkie talkie?

We would like to try this out in the baby monitor mode before we leave on holiday. If it does not reach the standards we require can we return the product? Please advise? Thanks

I am interested in the baby monitor function - a few people have asked how useful it is but there is not a direct answer to the questions posted - does it work or not?
Yes it does work, the feedback from customers is that it suits their needs.
Can these be delivered next day?
Yes, we hold goods stocks of this product, and if an order is placed before 3pm it will generally ship that day.
Can I use this product in the Far East (Singapore, Thailand and Malayasia) and New Zealand?
They will physcially work, however we cannot say for sure whether it is legal. You could try www.446user.co.uk form and see if they have any suggestions or advice?
which earset/mic on your website is compatable for use with these walkie talkies ?
Any of the headsets listed on the site with a single pin and an N prefix to the product code. For example, do a search for these:
NCOPHFPTTCT
NCOEZEPTTEPM
NCOEPMPTTCT
I am interested in the radios but what about the headsets that go with them do you sell them or let me know where I can get some from?
Hi, Yes we do stock them. If you click on the two way radios category, and then into cobra accessories sub category, any of the headsets that are preceded by New.. will work with the MT750. Alternatively please search for these product codes:
NCOPHFPTTCT
NCOEZEPTTEPM
NCOEPMPTTCT

I have a set of motorola 2 way radios with IVOX. I tried to use them for a baby monitor, but the speaker isn
The MT750 radios, when in baby monitor mode, cut the speaker on the baby unit. If you use normal VOX, then the speaker will be on transmit and probably wake the child!
hi, i have previously bought a walkie talkie (motorola T5410) and tried to test if they could connect together and failed to function ... can the MT750 work with any other walkie talkie or does it have to be the same product type/brand?
You can use any PMR446 radio on the same channel and sub channel. The Motorola is a GRMS radio, suitable for use in North America. It uses different frequencies and it is not approved for use in the UK, and also will not communicate with PMR446 radios.
Is this voice operated ?
Yes this radio can support VOX, as well as PTT (Push to talk).
how many watts is the mt750?
All PMR446 radios are maximum of 0.5 watts output.
can i use this where i dont get mobile signal??
Yes you can, however it will only communicate with other PMR446 radios that are within range.
can you use this as a baby monitor?
does it have an ear piece?
Yes this radio is suitable for use as a baby monitor. It is not supplied with headsets, however they are available on the site, however you do not need a headset to use it as a baby monitor. As an alternative, take a look at the cobra MT800 as this also has baby monitor function, as well as two basic headsets included.
Many thanks for sending the radios so promptly.
One quick question - it would be great if you could let me have a reply today or tomorrow.
When I press the squelch "off"/range extender button (which doubles as the light switch), all I get is a lot of white noise. The instructions say you should get a couple of beeps after 5 seconds (to indicate the range extender is on), but I don't. Am I doing something wrong? I'd very much like to be able to extend the range, even if I end up with more background noise. Is it possible that there is so much noise in London that squelch off just doesn't work?
Second question is that the baby monitor function seems to be less sensitive than the ordinary Vox setting - is that normal?)

Hi Will,
Please contact cobra support on 0870 7587580 for assistance.
are these legal to use in france.
Yes they are, however we are told that you should not use channel 1 or 2 in france... that still leaves channels 3-8 with 38 subchannels available for use.
Hi,
how long can I expect these to remain charged?
It depends on how heavily they are used, however for regular use, the radios will stay active for several days in "power save" mode.
Hi, can these be used with normal AAA batteries, in case the rechargeable run out and don't have access to the charger?
Yes then can with 4 AAA non-rechargable alkaline batteries, but for any replacement rechargeable batteries, we would recommend to use the one's supplied (sold here separately): http://www.bb-shopping.com/products/New-Cobra-Re-chargeable-Battery-Pack-Ni-MH.htm?id=&subid=&prodid=2135&curr=&m=1.00&cc=6
