How much can I drink before I'm over the limit?
The legal limit for driving varies from 20mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood (as in some Scandinavian countries) - to 80mg (as in the UK and Ireland). Check the Legal Limits section of this website for the legal maximum in your country.
Unfortunately their is no fail-safe guide to how much you can drink and still stay under the legal limit. Your sex, the amount and type of alcoholic drink, your height, weight, age and metabolism will all play their part.
The amount of actual alcohol in a drink can be very deceiving, for example, each of the drinks above contain an equivalent amount of alcohol.
Any amount of alcohol in your blood, even a small drink, will impair your driving ability.
Driving a vehicle after drinking any amount of alcohol is dangerous, increasing the risk of causing injury or death to yourself and others. A reading produced by this product is only a guide to your actual alcohol concentration (BAC) Neither manufacturer, distributor, owner, licensee or seller accept liability or responsibility. Your BAC can rise for one hour or more after your last drink. Police readings are accurate at the time they are taken. We recommend the use of Taxi's, Busses and Trains. If you have had a drink, DO NOT DRIVE.
