Freecom DVB-T USB Stick is the latest version of the DVB-T that includes a remote control. Please be aware that some other retailers are selling a previous version of the product that did not include it. Please remember that you do need digital TV signal for this product to work, and also a USB2.0 port.

The new Freecom DVB-T USB stick is characterised by amazing compact dimensions of only 28 x 15 x 86 mm and an ultra-light weight of 25 grams. This minute digital receiver is therefore perfect for mobile, cordless TV and radio reception. The only equipment required is a laptop or computer with a USB 2.0 port, the Freecom DVB-T USB stick, the small yet powerful antenna included in the package, and an adequate DVB-T signal.

Most of the European population has today (July 2005) the facility of receiving the terrestrial digital DVB-T signal in their homes, and thus have a choice of around 30 TV broadcasting stations. In the light of this, DVB-T is already a success story. More than just a TV receiver - digital recorder, teletext and EPG included.

The Freecom DVB-T USB stick offers much more besides convincingly sharp picture quality: in combination with the hard disk, it becomes a digital video recorder. In this case the user has the choice between live recording and convenient programming by means of the timer function. This is where the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) comes into its own, which lists the complete TV schedule of all broadcasters, and provides brief descriptions of the individual programmes. The DVB-T USB stick can of course also receive teletext (not UK).

More than just another mobile device - a complete TV substitute

With the Freecom DVB-T USB stick, it will be possible in future to dispense with the old, outdated and space-consuming CRT televisions still found in millions of homes - their days appear to be numbered. The old box will gradually be replaced by a large TFT display and a tiny DVB-T receiver.

The Freecom DVB-T USB stick is available now, and comes complete with external DVB-T antenna, CD-ROM (driver, multi-lingual manuals, etc.) antenna cable and operating instructions.
